Make Cloodog your default search

Cloodog is a search site, not a full browser app. You keep Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox — and point their address-bar search at cloodog.com.

What this can and can’t do

• Can: become your browser’s default search engine (type in the address bar → Cloodog results).
• Can: install as a Home Screen / app-like shortcut so it opens full-screen.
• Cannot: replace Chrome or Safari as the device’s default browser app — OS stores only allow real browser apps there.

Chrome / Edge (desktop)

• Open cloodog.com.
• Settings → Search engine → Manage search engines → Add:
  • Name: Cloodog
  • Shortcut: cloodog
  • URL: https://cloodog.com/search.html?q=%s&sort=newest&freshDays=30
• Set Cloodog as the default search engine.

Firefox

Firefox may offer “Add Cloodog” from the address bar because this site publishes OpenSearch. You can also add the same URL template as Chrome.

Android Chrome

Settings → Search engine → add / select Cloodog, using the same URL with %s.

iPhone

Safari does not allow a third-party default search engine. Best options: add Cloodog to the Home Screen, or set homepage / favorites to cloodog.com. A browser that allows custom search (Firefox, Orion) can use the same %s URL for address-bar search.

Install as an app shortcut

On supported browsers: Install / Add to Home Screen so Cloodog opens like an app. That is the closest honest “everyday front door” without claiming to be a browser.
